Business owner. AI builder. Based in Maidstone, Kent.
How a business owner ended up building AI systems for small businesses.
As a musician, I set up The Sonic Sanctuary to explore mindfulness and connection within my local North Kent community. Like any small business, most of my time went on the things that aren't the actual work: bookings, chasing payments, managing waitlists, keeping records straight.
A few years ago I started using AI to fix that. Not because I was a tech person looking for a project, but because I genuinely needed it. It worked, so I kept going — booking platforms, automated communication flows, event systems, customer databases. Complete operational systems, built from scratch.
Then I started doing it for other people. Performance Interpreting, a BSL interpretation agency providing communication access for the Deaf community across the UK, now runs on a booking and operations platform I built and maintain.
Between the two, I work across corporate, education and care — from sound baths in schools and for teachers to operations platforms for specialist businesses. The software follows the same logic everywhere: find the admin that's eating someone's week and hand it to a system. It's also why I run Kent AI: monthly meet-ups in Maidstone for owners who are curious or wary about AI. No pitch, just what works and what doesn't. The tools matter less than the people using them.
I'm not a tech person selling AI. I'm a business owner who found it genuinely useful and now helps others do the same. No jargon, no hype, no solutions looking for a problem. If it doesn't make your business easier to run, it's not worth building.
Not demos. Not experiments. Real platforms running real businesses.
Booking management OS, staff portal, automated workflows, event coordination, and a complete customer database. Built to handle a full BSL interpretation agency without a dedicated admin team.

I run Kent AI, monthly in-person meet-ups in Maidstone for small business owners curious or concerned about AI. No sales pitch, just real talk about what works and what doesn't. Plus a Facebook group, WhatsApp threads, and a reminder list.
